Rev. Simon was born in the U.K, grew up in Southern Ontario, and served with the Canadian forces from 1981 until 2007.
His career included postings with the Army and Air Force but his service with the Canadian Navy is nearest to his heart.
Simon retired from military service as a Chief Petty Officer 1st Class in 2007 and transitioned into parish ministry.
On November 1st, 2009, Simon began his ministry in the parish of St. Saviour’s accompanied and supported by his wife Krista and their two children, Connor and Brynne.
He is presently immersed in the study of congregational renewal and parish vitality and reads extensively from the works of N. T. Wright, Rowan Williams, Stanley Hauerwas and William Willimon.
