EVENT INFORMATION
Morning Bible Study: A group of people meet to read a commentary on one book of the Bible. After reading a chapter in the commentary, discussion follows on where the Bible fits into our lives. It is a low impact Bible Study in that we are not expected to search for particular books of the Bible, but are using the commentary to guide us. It is high impact, however, on the insights we gain and the closeness of the group. If you want to study the Bible and are looking for a loving, caring and supportive group - this is where you belong
Craft and Quilt Group: A group of ladies gather in the church hall on a Wednesday to do crafts, as well as making one quilt a year The quilt is raffled and the crafts are sold at various venues. This group has become very close-knit and enjoy their time together. Not all the ladies are church members; the only membership requirement is to enjoy crafts or quilting, preferably both. Come and bring your ideas. Newcomers are welcome.
Praise Team: The choir and the music director meet to practice the hymns for the following Sunday. Again this group has become very close, united in the common bond of music. As the result of their diligence at practice, they are very helpful in leading the congregation on Sunday mornings. If singing is one of your talents, this is a great group to join. New members are welcome to our team. Please call Dorothy Caldwell if you are able to attend our practices and would like to enjoy singing with us.
Single Senior’s Supper: This event has long been an ongoing monthly evening at St. Saviour’s. It was initiated by a priest some years ago to provide an evening out for seniors who were without a partner. The evening consists of an excellent meal with entertainment following the supper. Transportation can be provided for those who cannot get to the supper otherwise. It seems to fill a need in the community, judging by the members who attend. A small fee is charged for the supper. Once again, it is something to check out if you are single and over 55.
